In 2006 I wanted to attend a blogging conference in lieu of a vacation, but the budget that summer just didn’t allow for nonessential travel. So I decided to take a virtual vacation in cyber space. I spent a solid week in the virtual world of Second Life® I and from the first moments there I realized this was the nexus of technology, communication, design, and culture I had hoped would arise in my lifetime. I was ready for it. I brought a nonprofit group with which I was active into the virtual world and started an international chapter. I learned open source graphic design software and began selling my creations in a virtual world shop, I heard about the possibility of hosting a celebration for my adopted home city of Tucson as part of a month long city birthday celebration.
I have four years of solid experience bringing dreams into existence through virtual worlds. Business, virtual meetings, or prototype display, I help determine the appropriate platform for your operation and then translate brand and identity into the virtual world. These services can include market assessment, branding, assembling an in-world team for you, managing the creation and launch of a virtual space, event planning and hosting.
